6/28/14

So Ed flew to Asheville last Monday. I had a chance to get part of one of my fears out of the way,  by driving him to the airport, and I got to do it twice that day as his plane was turned back for valve repair and after two hours sitting on the plane, the flight was cancelled.
On Monday we got to wake up early, you know I love that, we drove him to catch his flight around eight. So three round trips in two days and I now have it down. If you choose to fly out, I can pick you up and drop you off without incident.
Friday Ed rented a car and drove the four hours from Asheville to Atlanta, to begin a work conference that gets him home Tuesday night.
We girls started out strong last week, getting things accomplished, enjoying each other's company and all that. It all went south pretty quickly, about the third day. Wednesday we hopped in the car with Lina and Rayanna and drove to Garibaldi, where we took a ride in a steam train along the coast. It looked better in pictures and seemed more fun than it was, but I'm glad we did it.
Yesterday on one of Ayla's walks we came across a mound riddled with mole holes, we saw two tiny ones outside an entrance, and one or two others in different spots. They were cute. Ayla almost ate one.
We are very excited that Ed's sister Lisa will be here Thursday! She is taking the train up from San Diego and will stay for five days, or more if we can convince her.  As she has never been to Seattle, we will be taking a trip up, and since Chris and Matt are away on one of there amazing trips(Galapagos and Easter Island), they are kind enough to let us stay in their place.
It feels like we are still waiting for summer to start and I think her arrival will kick things into gear. We have summer Movies In The Park starting up and so many other exciting things happening around the area, we will be doing some camping, hitting the pool and who knows what all else.
